What travelers say:

The weather in Mount Cook is good. It’s just that when you booked a snow plane, the helicopter return activity was cancelled because of the bad weather on the mountain. It was a pity for two consecutive days. I drove from the Twizel base to the airport under the snow mountain. Asked to wait, and took the shortest trekking route by the way, and the scenery was not bad.

Additional Information

A third of Mount Cook National Park is covered in ice or snow all year round. One of the highest peaks in Mount Cook National Park is Mount Cook itself, which is one of the highest in all of Oceania. It is a great location to take a stroll through the park, or take part in other outdoor adventures, such as viewing New Zealand's Tasman Glacier or taking a helicopter to see the majestic peaks from above.
