"A place for night view of Los Angeles, it can overlook the whole of Los Angeles, but it is often crowded, so squeeze out a position ～ When we came there was a bit foggy, the weather was not very good, but you can still see a good night view. "Stopped here on whim because we knew the sun would be setting shortly. Glad we did. Grounds are very nicely kept. Bathrooms were clean. Nice concrete path to follow. Or take the dirt trails through the hills. We followed the path around towards the edge of the cliff and walked down to a number of concrete picnic tables to watch the sun set. There park itself was fairly quiet with only a handful of visitors. A few hikers passed through. Excellent views of Pepperdine. The sunset does eventually get blocked out by the hills but the view was still gorgeous. Parking was free."

"Great park with lots of things to do, from fishing and paddle boating to family BBQ. Renaissance Faire is here from March to May which is also a lot of fun. Remember that the speed limit is 15 mph in the park!"

"This was a drive I did by myself as I had a full free day. The trail went through lovely farmlands, many, many winery vineyards, ruins of the Dutton Hotel in an old area called Jolon, Mission Soledad, and Mission San Antonio, ending in Fort Hunter Liggett. Mission San Antonio is the 3rd Mission in California built by Fr. Serra. It is still active with Mass every Sunday. It has the best 10 room museum with a great music room. The church is lovely and is undergoing reconstruction outside but you can still go inside. Frankie who was staffing the gift shop was most cordial. The mission is also open for retreats. It is well worfh the drive out there."
