Shandamuni Temple and Kukdo Pagoda are really similar, and the geographical location is so close. In the end, I was a little confused whether the two places were confused by my memory. They all need the White Tower, which is simply a check-in location for tourists who are young and fresh in literature and art. The rows of white pagodas along the way are a must for photography enthusiasts. I saw a lot of excellent photos on tripadvisor. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and rainy on the day of the visit. It was very scenic. Even in the dry season, there is still a chance to rain.
The Shandamuni Monastery in Myanmar is opposite the Gudutao Pagoda. It's better to do your homework before going. Shandamuni Monastery is a steeple stupa, and Gututao stupa is a dome, but the historical and cultural backgrounds are different. If you don’t have time, you can choose one of the two. They are all similar stupas.
The milky white pagoda is also a very important historical testimony. Many of the designs here are also behind the door. The pagodas are several meters high. The surrounding temples can also be visited. The monks here are very peaceful.
I came here by accident. Many small white towers are arranged together neatly. The white feels comfortable, clean and at ease. There are not many tourists here, but there are many local people. Everyone takes pictures or prays and enjoys a quiet afternoon and sunset. Shifen is very beautiful, very close to Mandalay Hill, you can visit with Mandalay Hill.
This one is also at the foot of Mandalay Hill, but it is not famous for the Gudu Pagoda next to it. Because of the construction of the temple, it is difficult to have a good camera angle, unless shooting at high altitude. But it is worth coming over.
I feel shocked by Sandamuni Buddhism, especially the clusters of white pagodas, which are very solemn. I have visited the Buddhist group when I went to Qinghai, but I really can’t compare with the ones here, and the pagodas here. It is a particularly pure white one.
