Great for a walk around the lake about 5 km. They also have two outdoor gyms with some very good machines and look very clean. Very good barbecue area with a lovely playground next to it. There are also many fishing places. There are indeed signs of snakes that often appear, so stick to the path.

The trails around the lake are3.5 kilometers, flat, so it is very leisurely. There are many places to stop and relax, the lake is still very open, even when we leave home, there is no wind, but there is indeed wind. After walking, bring a chair or blanket to sit down and rest. There is a children’s playground around the lake so everyone can be happy.

Altona is a fabulous oasis, and beautiful and close to the beach. I am perched on many birds and other wildlife and I find the walking route around the lake just right. Located on Miller's Road, not far from Seaholme station, there is a large parking lot, a large number of tables, shelter, barbecue, two playgrounds, many fitness equipment, toilets, fountains and bicycle or walking trails. The lake was designed in the early 1960s for the expansion of flood-proof basins for residents of Altona and Brooklyn. But before that, it did have another life, the racetrack built in 1954. Undoubtedly a valuable addition to the area. Accessible access. Lots of activity places and kids playing. Dogs can enter but please pick up the trash and stay ahead. Can fish - but look at the signs.

A pleasant family park, converted from an ancient wetland, is a great place to spend the afternoon with your family. A shared walk and bicycle lane of 3.7 kilometers surrounds the lake and is said to be connected to the Hobsons Bay coastal trail. Other facilities in the reserve include playgrounds, picnic sheds, barbecue grills, seats, toilets and parking lots accessible from Miller Road (Millers Road). The lake and surrounding protected areas are important wildlife habitats, watching black swans and wild ducks swim and delight the eye, and enjoying the purple marshes by the lake.

It was a great place to walk in the park and I took three or four laps and it was nice to look around, just be careful because I saw a snake on the grass and so close to the path.

Cherry Lake is full of treasures. First of all, it is a reserve with many kinds of animals and the maps and information are interesting and useful. Captain Altona butterfly lives there really cool. The lake itself has many different environments. Parks and fitness equipment for people to exercise and entertain themselves; a parking lot overlooking the water and winds, where people can sit in comfortable front seats and enjoy the views. Fishing area; A beautiful forest, like a cave to another world, with magical bridges and secret picnic spaces, away from reality. On the arid grasslands, rabbits wander among large areas of bushes and reeds in the lake take you to faraway places. What a wonderful lake.

The century-old lonely travel west of Melbourne is a word that looks very free. There are indeed many choices for travel. Some people like to be lively. No matter where you go, you will go to the most lively shopping center in the local area. Some people like to experience local life. The alleys of fireworks are their favorite. Of course, there are such people who like to experience loneliness and don’t like push. Those places that are extremely close to nature and can be empty are the focus of the trip. If you are also like this, you will definitely like it here, 72km west of Melbourne, Paixxi Reservoir (Pykes Creek Reservoir-Myrniong). On the highway from Melbourne to Monong St Anne Vineyard (St Anne's Vineyard - Myrniong ), take the exit of Paix Creek and turn right across the overpass. You will find a small road with winding paths that can lead to Paix Creek Reservoir. Where are there few tourists, there are three or two locals fishing next to the reservoir. Holding an umbrella, lying leisurely, the fish can't be hooked, it seems that it is not so important, on the lawn in the distance, with simple mats, women sitting sideways, reading the beloved novels, from time to time looking at the fishermen, each has space, heart to each other, I said it was supposed to be the best feeling. During the conversation, I learned that this is an ancient reservoir built in 1911. Although it has been a hundred years, the reservoir still provides water for the Bax Marsh and Werribee irrigation areas, and it also provides a small amount of drinking water for Myrniong. After a hundred years of loneliness, it still carries the mission and allows time to flow silently. It still looks like it used to be. The original ecological forest is retained by the reservoir, and the rich green plants surround the reservoir. Nature is still the best planner. The vegetation without artificial carving is probably the same as the reservoir. It has witnessed the story of a hundred years and is also profound and majestic. Continue to go inside, you will see the picnic area and boating area divided by the local government for tourists. Parks Creek Reservoir does not charge tickets for free, so the picnic meals and boating boats have to be brought by themselves. When we are leaving, we meet a car on the face. On the roof of the car is a kayak, aha, maybe with the slight waves in the middle of this reservoir, no need to paddle, only enjoy a soft afternoon, the blue waves are rippling beautiful, think it is very beautiful. Well, there is only one person in the car. A person enjoys loneliness, in fact, is also enjoying life. Tips: 1. Confirm the water level one day in advance or earlier in the day. After all, it is a reservoir. If the water level is too high, there will be some danger. 2. The surrounding area is close to the original state, before going to ensure that the phone has enough power, if necessary, can contact the outside world. 3. When leaving, you must take away the garbage around you. 4.The local plants and animals are protected by law, take care of the flowers and plants, and be a qualified global villager.
