Melbourne Zoo

I have been to Melbourne Zoo with my friends recently. The Zoo is very big. We spent more than 5 hours to view all the animals. There is some unique animal inside the zoo, including platypus, snow leopard, and others.

Just a few stops by tram from downtown we arrived to Melbourne Zoo, the oldest zoo in Australia. 🇦🇺 We came eager to see kangaroos and koalas and although we missed the latter ones, the visit was still worth it. Melbourne Zoo is big and it has various species of animals from the 5 continents. 🌏 But possibly the one that impressed me the most is the cassowary, a type of flightless bird - similar to the ostrich - that dates back to the time of the dinosaurs and is endemic of northern Australia and the island of New Guinea. My friends and I visited Melbourne zoo to see all these cute animals in Melbourne. Such a big place for family and friends gathering and a lot of animals to see! Sadly, we couldn’t see koalas as they were asleep 💤 so maybe you should come to the zoo in the morning to see them awake 😆#melbourne #zoo

#melbournetrip Melbourne Zoo is the best Zoo experience I have had. The Zoo and its animal enclosures are beautifully curated by the loveliest keepers. we had the pleasure of talking to a keeper in the reptile exhibit who was in the process of setting up the planting for new animals. He was extremely lovely and you could tell how passionate he was about his work by how beautiful and lush each of the exhibits looked. The Zoo itself is has something for all ages, with ample about of green trees that provide shade as you travel through, vibrant cafes, water refill stations and a splash pad for the kiddies to cool down. We will definitely be back and recommending Melbourne Zoo to all our friends and family.

It was like walking through various parts of the world, from tropical Asian rainforest to a desert-like Australian outback. 🌿🦘 The Gorilla Rainforest was the star of the show – watching these magnificent creatures in an environment that mirrored their natural habitat made it profoundly impressive but also humbling to witness. 🦍🌳 Trail of the Elephants offered an insight into lives of these gentle giants and new Lion Gorge revealed a more engaging experience with the king of the jungle. 🐘🦁 The Butterfly House was enchanting – it’s like walking through a fairytale to be surrounded by fluttering butterflies in tropical paradise. 🦋🌺 The Orangutan Sanctuary and the Growing Wild exhibition is all about raising awareness regarding endangered species, wildlife preservation. 🌏🦍 For families, the Children’s Zoo provided an engaging activity for children to interact with farm animals and get close to them. 🐷👧 Across from the zoo is Royal Park – a huge garden ideal for relaxing after visiting animal kingdoms or taking an easy walk. while in Melbourne as a tourist we took the team to Melbourne zoo. make sure to wear comfy shoes and take a bottle of water. lots of walking to be done. we chose to wait until the Saturday as over the weekend children 15 and under are free. they also have prices for pensioners and famillies. due to covid 19 , it is now policy to book tickets for Melbourne zoo online. they don't really check your tickets just scan them. so I paid for 2 adults and 4 children which came to around $50 .. not sure exact amount zoo was larger then expected. definitely worth checking out. my favourite were the giraffes and the tigers were unavailable
