In addition to seeing more than 4,000 animals such as seals, tigers, monkeys, and echidnas, you can take photos while feeding giraffes, touching reptiles, or getting close to koalas. You can also watch free bird shows, seal shows, and other activities. Due to the geographical advantage of the hills where the zoo is located, it is also a great place to enjoy the view of Sydney Harbour. Take the Sky Safari cable car and enjoy a fascinating journey over the zoo, taking in the breathtaking view of Sydney Harbour.

Australia is home to many small conservation-focused zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, so I usually lack interest in large zoos and have only visited Melbourne Zoo and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane. Despite being Australia's largest zoo, Taronga Zoo's design is completely different from traditional urban zoos. It strives to create environments suitable for animal activities and minimizes artificial disturbances, allowing the animals to move more freely. Visitors can also enjoy observing the animals in a more natural setting, completely breaking my preconceived notions about zoos. It's definitely worth spending half a day exploring. 💰Average Cost: Tickets 🎫 are approximately 1,000 TWD. It's better to purchase them online as they are more expensive on-site! 🗓️Itinerary: The zoo has two entrances: the Main Entrance located at a higher elevation and the Lower Entrance near the ferry station. The recommended route is to start at the Main Entrance and exit through the Lower Entrance. However, transportation to the Main Entrance can be a bit tricky. Use Google Maps for planning, or alternatively, you can take an Uber from Victoria Cross or North Sydney train stations. The fare is around AUD 25–35 and takes about half an hour. It's quite cost-effective if shared among multiple people.
