1636 It is a temple of the Otani school of the Jodo Shinshu sect, which is said to have been rebuilt by the monk Riken in the year of 1636. The current main hall was rebuilt in Meiji 30, but escaped from the air raid. Hazuka Akiraku, famous as a gagaku artist, is the ninth chief priest of this temple.
I can't attach it because there is no bell of the bell tower next to the mountain gate. It is desired to be revived early, probably because it is under construction. This is a quiet temple of the Shinshu Otani school in a residential area.
A temple of the Jodo Shinshu Otani school surrounded by office buildings in the northeast of Nishikibashi Bridge over the Horikawa River on Nishiki-dori. There is a Shinmeisha of Ujigami in the neighborhood, and there are some wooden private houses left, so you can remember the quiet old days.
In April, I visited temples and shrines near Nagoya Station. Joshinji is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Otani school located about a 10-minute walk from JR Nagoya Station. It is said that it was a temple built in 1635. The gate was closed, but I was able to enter the precincts from the side. It is a quiet temple in the city. Hakuryu Shrine, Shinmei Shrine, Komyoin, etc. are within walking distance. If you are interested in shrines and temples, why not visit them?

Historic temple
It is said to be a temple with a very old history (the Tokugawa era?). I've heard that the mountain gate is also very old and from the Edo period.
