１６３６ It is a temple of the Otani school of the Jodo Shinshu sect, which is said to have been rebuilt by the monk Riken in the year of １６３６. The current main hall was rebuilt in Meiji ３０, but escaped from the air raid. Hazuka Akiraku, famous as a gagaku artist, is the ninth chief priest of this temple.

In April, I visited temples and shrines near Nagoya Station. Joshinji is a temple of the Jodo Shinshu Otani school located about a 10-minute walk from JR Nagoya Station. It is said that it was a temple built in 1635. The gate was closed, but I was able to enter the precincts from the side. It is a quiet temple in the city. Hakuryu Shrine, Shinmei Shrine, Komyoin, etc. are within walking distance. If you are interested in shrines and temples, why not visit them?
