Karura is a forest in Nairobi, ideal for walking or cycling. You have to pay the entrance fee, and prices vary for tourists, residents and locals. The walk is very enjoyable and usually very busy, especially on weekends. It has different routes and has a restaurant where the food is good. There is also a waterfall where people usually take pictures. Usually, it has good signposts, so you don’t need to spend any time to find the way to go. Ideal to absorb fresh air and relax in nature.
This is a forest park in Nairobi. Because of the tight time, I just turned around near the gate. The flowers here are gorgeous and there are many varieties. Picture one looks like our Phalaenopsis, picture two looks like an old corn silk. Because there is no introduction, I don't know the name of the specific flower.
Very good place for indoor outings, a large forest park with small waterfalls. In the free time with children and friends, you can ride in the forest, run, go for a walk, or have a picnic. The scenery is beautiful and the tickets are very cheap, which costs more than RMB 10.
Woody park with a lot of the trees being inported from Australia. The Nature walks are well marked and its an ideal place for Family Walks, picnic sites, football games among others.
An amazing option for a stroll through the woods in industrializing Nairobi. There is a small waterfall to check out, some shallow caves the Mau Mau used to hide in, and some other small lakes. The walking trails are good and marked for the most part, it feel very safe with families and joggers out on the trails, and it is just nice to be in the woods, even though many of the trees in these woods are imported gum trees from Australia.
