What travelers say:

A hidden gem in Nairobi. It is a slightly dilapidated display, but the collection of inperson trains makes for a very manifest interaction with Kenya's railroad history. Great for birthday parties for young kids

Additional Information

Commissioner of British East Africa Sir Charles Eliot once stated “It is not an unusual thing for a railway to open a country, but this line literally made a country”. Such is the significance of the railroads in Kenya and this museum is commited on preserving and sharing its incredible history. Exhibits incorprate restored locomotives and carriages, the steam train from the film “Out of Africa”, as well as morbid but interesting details about the Lunatic Express and the Man-eaters of Tsavo that terrorized the notourious project
