Yaprakhisar is a part of Cappadocia national park. You will see the nicest examples of conical fairy chimneys here. Since the area is very similar to Star Wars Film Set, Yaprakhisar is known as “Star Wars Movie Set”. The view is awesome. It's nice to look down from the hill when you hike to the top. There are several chimney rooms you can enter, which some were used as kitchen, even as a church! You can enter here with a ticket to the Ihlara valley. Old people's life is worth discussing. Please pay attention to the windy weather and the sandstorm during winter/spring season though. Best way to get here is to join the Green Tour of Cappadocia 🤎🌿🌟🌳🌸⛅️ #nationalpark #urbanexplorer
Cappadocia, wow. What a dream!
This part of Turkey, which is also often associated with hot air balloons, is one of our favourite destinations.
Each morning, unless the weather is not suitable, hundreds of balloons take off during the sunrise and float in the sky for a few hours. The show is truly spectacular and worth an early wake up call!
Cappadocia is also where you can find the cave hotel rooms which are typical for this part of Turkey. The accommodation options here are very affordable and unique. My favourites include the Museum Hotel, Local Cave House and the Sultan Cave Suites.
It all started with one balloon... Did you know here in Cappadocia, Turkey more than 150 hot air balloons take flight every morning? It's a magical sight to witness. Travel tip: The balloons are weather dependent so if you'd like a higher chance at witnessing a successful flight, it's best to go in the late spring or summer when the chances of rain are lower.
Hands down one of the mostmagical sunrises I have ever witnessed - Cappadocia, Turkey, with a thousand balloons.
