Place Massena is one of lively squares in Nice. It was constructed around the 1830s and now connects Nice Old Town and New Town. The northern part of the square is rectangular, the southern half is semi-circular, and the ground is in a grid pattern formed by black and white stones. On both sides of the square are shops, restaurants and cafes. You can also see many street performers performing in the square, and there are usually street performances or float parades in the evening.
