Qing'an Hall is variously called the Zhedong Maritime Affairs and Folk-Custom Museum and the Mazu Belief and Tianhou Temple. Moreover, it's known as a gathering place for industry. Qing'an Hall is laid out in a long, rectangular design and is a classic example of modern Ningbo wooden architecture. Oriented toward the West, Qing'an Hall integrates both its Mazu and guild hall components together in a double-stage architectural format, with one stage at the front and one at the back, which is very rare in China. The Guild structure is dotted with many "zhu jin" wood carvings and stoneworks, which employ traditional Ningbo masonry in a proud display of the elite masonry skills of the eastern Zhejiang region during the Qing Dynasty. The hall provides many genuine examples of classical stonework for researchers into China's masonry traditions.
