Luxhall Castle is located in the south-central part of Funen Island. Its history can be traced back to 600 years ago. In 1391, Luxholm Castle was once owned by Queen Margrethe I of Denmark, and since then it has been known as the "Royal Castle". Various luxurious parties, wedding receptions, etc. have been held here many times. Today, the castle has introduced modern conference facilities and 28 landscape rooms overlooking the moat. The ancient castle is no longer just a palace for hunting parties, but a famous place for leisure and entertainment open to the outside world. Andersen visited Luxhall Castle many times and was deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery and food in the castle. He wrote in his diary: "The beautiful scenery of Luxhall Castle shows romance everywhere. ." Andersen wrote many well-known fairy tales during his stay in Luxhall Castle, including the widely circulated "The Little Mermaid", and the room he once lived in has maintained its original appearance.
