What people are saying:

The very advanced museum, which is used mainly as a center for art research and exchange, is designed in a modernist fashion, extracting Arabic cultural symbols and closing on Monday.

Additional Information

Introduction

Founded in 1980, the Institut du Monde Arabe, also known as The Arab World Institute, was built after an agreement was settled in which all parties agreed that an effort was required to create a bridge between the Arab world and the French. Because it is so important to relay accurate information to the general public, the goal of this museum is to debunk some of the assumptions of the Arab community by helping visitors to immerse themselves into Arab culture. The museum showcases a myriad of artifacts significant to the Arab world including manuscripts, pottery, utensils and other unique artifacts.
