It is a beautiful mansion built in 1624 with a garden. It is the headquarters of the National Historical Center. This department manages more than one hundred of France's most prestigious national monuments. Enter the small gate from the arcade of the Place des Vosges, you can see here, and there is a private historical tour.
Take in the ambiance of this secret garden during any season, of which in fact are embodied in the stone sculptures which perch on the first floor level of this once royal building. The place is quite biodiverse too, and it’s one of the few places in the middle of the city where you can hear birdsong. It’s amazing. For the last 150 or so years it’s been classified as a historical monument, and today boasts a museum alongside too. But if you’re looking for a quiet spot to eat lunch and ponder the delights of an original royal garden then the Organery in the grounds of Hotel de Sully is a rare visit worth treasuring.
