L'Olympia

The largest attraction in Paris. The Olympia Theatre is the cultural center of France. It is a performance mecca, and the Eiffel Tower is called Paris.

This time, I came here to watch a play. It's worth it.

Once an old theatre transformed into a concert hall by the founder of the Moulin Rouge, it continues to draw major players from the music world. Red velvet drapes and sweeping balcony tiers embrace the stage like an old friend, lending concerts an incredibly intimate atmosphere. In recent years, L'Olympia has hosted acts as diverse as Buena Vista Social Club, Carla Bruni, and Mumford & Sons. If your favourite artist ever swings through L'Olympia's doors, be sure to book your seat. Pricey – but classic.
