Boao is also known as the Water Town. It is located at the mouth of Wanquan River in Hainan Province’s Qionghai City. There are two islands in the estuary, Dong Yu and Yuanyang. Islands are scattered in the waters of Boao Harbor, along with picturesque waterways on the islands, creating beautiful scenery. It is renown as a wonderfully characteristic portrait of the southern country. With Boao Harbor poised at the center, the port area is vast with many attractions. Culture plays a great part in the attractions. For instance, the Boao Zen Temple, located inside of Boao Oriental Cultural Garden, exhibits Buddhist culture.
