Qionglai Grottoes

The Grottoes, which were approved by the State Council and announced as key cultural relics protection units nationwide in May 2006, include the statues of Shiqi Mountain, Huazhi Temple and Vedic Temple, are the most concentrated, largest and best preserved stone carving distribution area in Chengdu. Shiqi Mountain Cliff statue is located in the northwest of Jinggou Village, Datong Township. It was carved in the second year of the store (767 AD). It is divided into two floors of curves according to the mountain trend, a total of 33 feet, and sits in the west to the east. Five kilometers from the west, there is Vetuo Mountain, there is Vetuo Temple on the mountain, and the cliff statue is located on the cliff in front of the temple. Very good to see, but the three places are not convenient for public transportation, only look at the photos and introduction in the exhibition hall in the park of the archaeological site of the kiln.

I went on weekdays. There was no one else all morning. When I went down the mountain, I met a few colorful elderly hiking teams from Dabala. I was lucky to shoot my chest. Self-driving can stop at the door of the farmhouse, and the price is ten yuan. The mountain is not high, the road stones are slightly steep, and the elderly and children should be able to climb to the top easily. Cliff carvings are closed in small houses for years and are not allowed to take pictures, and outdoors can be photographed with colorful and poor carvings.

The air is very fresh, there are many green vegetation, and a very quiet place. There is only one grotto to guard this land quietly. Many villagers will still come here to incense, so that their hearts can be calm or comforted.

Sichuan Province is the most concentrated and largest stone carving distribution area in Chengdu. Its Buddhist stone carving art reflects the different styles of the middle and late Tang Dynasty, and can be said to carry the artistic soul of the Buddha statues of the Tang Dynasty.

The traffic is inconvenient, you can only drive by yourself, and the bicycle lanes up the mountain are 7 or 8 kilometers of mountain roads. It is quite difficult to get the wrong car; unfortunately, the stone carvings on the mountain, weathering water erosion, and the protection is not very good.
