Basilica and Convent of San Francisco

It is located on one side of the Independence Square in Quito. It is a typical Latin American Baroque-style building. The exterior is very simple and the interior is also very simple. There are many tourists, most of whom are clergy and believers.

The old town of Quito, the capital of Ecuador, is a world heritage site, but it looks like Europe at first glance, except that the people walking on the street are darker and shorter. Today is Sunday, and all the churches are holding services. I went to visit the Cathedral of San Francisco, and the glass windows of the church are brightly colored and beautifully shaped. It is said on the Internet that you can go to the second floor, and the view is great. We went up to the second floor inside the church, but found nothing. Later we found out that we went up to the second floor from the outside stairs, but unfortunately the door was closed. There is an ice cream vendor at the door of the church. The vendor uses a spoon to stir in a constantly rotating pot. There are ice cubes outside the pot to keep it cold.

When I came out of Columbus's former residence that day, I accidentally discovered the Monastery of San Francisco. The two places are very close, about 100 meters away. The building is very beautiful as shown in the picture below. The interior decoration of this church should be the most gorgeous of all the churches in Quito. It is all glittering with gold. It is worth a visit, and it seems to be free.

St. Francisco Cathedral is the most luxurious Church in Ecuador. Its appearance is not so grand, but it covers a large area. It's so brilliant to enter the cathedral that you can't imagine such a luxurious Church in South America. Its walls and vaults are all gilded. It's hard to imagine such a luxurious church.

The Basilica of St. Francis is the largest church in Christ. It is located on the square of the Presidential Palace. The interior decoration of this church is very luxurious. Many believers come here to pray every day. The mass music played inside the church is very elegant and makes people feel relaxed.

The Monastery of San Francisco in Quito, opposite the presidential palace in Quito, is an old church with a history of more than 600 years. The interior of the church is so luxurious and solemn that many devout believers come here every day to pray. The shrines of the churches are very complex, magnificent and luxurious. They are absolutely one of the best churches in Central and South America.
