Blue Lake Track

The Blue Lake in Rotorua is a lake formed by a volcanic eruption. The river here is very clear. As the name implies, because it shows a faint blue, like sea water, it is called the Blue Lake. In fact, it is because the calcium composition of the lake is relatively large. So it's such a magical color.

Sitting by the lake, there will be a lot of waterbirds asking for food, feeding them, basking in the sun, blowing the lake wind is really relaxing and comfortable.

We ended up too late to have time to go around the lake, but we hurried past the main area of the park. There are a lot of leaf-watching plants so I didn't want to see the lake more. Still a great walk; very efficient.
