Coit Tower

The Koit Tower is located in Pioneer Park on the top of San Francisco's Telegraph Mountain, built in 1933 with the property of Koit (Lillie Hitchcock Coit). Coyt, a fraternist and firefighter, died in 1929, donating a third of his property to beautify San Francisco, and Coyttar was built to beautify San Francisco, taking the name from Coyt. The Coit Tower is a reinforced concrete tower decorated with wind art movement, 64 meters high, shaped like a nozzle for fire hoses.
