Balang Scripture Hall

The rong township of Sangri County, Shannan City is a natural village where Tibetan villagers live for generations. The balang here has a certain popularity, which is not equal to the general Tibetan temple. The balang is a relics of the school of the Tubu period. It is said that when the believers came to get scriptures, they had to rely on the master in the temple to recite them.

Balang but Kang is located in the south of the Yarlung Zangbo River in Shannan County, more than 3,400 meters above sea level. There are many small lakes in the alpine meadows in the north, and the mountains in the west are trenches. It is regarded by local Tibetans as a place for gods to shelter. There is also the famous Qiaga Qude Temple nearby.
