Century park is definitely a can’t miss park in Shanghai. Free entrance, convenient transportation (metro line 2, not far from city center) and most importantly, amazing scenery throughout the year especially in spring and fall season. This park is a huge place with lakes, trees, cherry blossoms and garden. It is a wonderful place if you love nature. There is an entrance fee of RMB$10 but it's totally worth it. 🥰 At the end of Century Avenue, you will find the Century Flower Clock. This icon is a large clock with many cheerful and colorful flower decorations all around. The river side is beautiful as well. Went to Century Park few weeks after we first got released from lockdown. No entrance ticket needed (before it was ¥10). So many people came to enjoy fresh air after months being locked at home. The black swans seems to enjoy the attention, too! A good place to take a long afternoon stroll and breathe some fresh air! Best time to visit: spring or autumn. This was one of the first places I went after Shanghai’s long lockdown, and it felt amazing to just stretch my legs in the sunshine and surrounded by nature. There was an incredible vibe here too, the park was filled with life: people jogging, having picnics with friends, playing frisbee, bird-feeding sitting by the lake or lying on shaded grassy areas with a book. Spanning around 340 acres of land, Century Park makes for a great afternoon out on a sunny day. Whether you’re looking to go for a leisurely stroll and catch up with a friend, a snack-filled picnic, a long run or to admire the flora and fauna, there’s plenty of room and opportunity to do so. The park is split into several areas: a scenic lakeside area, a forest landscape area, a nature reserve, folk village and more. As per regulations following the latest lockdown in Shanghai, you will need to show a green QR code and a negative pcr result from the last 72 hours in order to get into the park.
