Zhapulu Bridge

Located on the Suzhou River in Shanghai, Zhapu Road Bridge is connected to Zhapu Road in the north, South through South Suzhou Road in the south, and Huqiu Road in the south. The east is 248 meters away from the Waibaidu Bridge and the west is 95 meters away from the Sichuan Road Bridge. After Shanghai opened, the Anglican Bishop Peng En (Wen Wellcome) built a floating bridge on the west of this ferry. In 1873, the floating bridge was changed to a wooden bridge, foreigners called Peng'en Bridge, Chinese called the head ferry bridge, also known as Baidu Bridge. In order to distinguish the east side of the Waibaidu Bridge, it is also called Erbaidu Bridge. In 1927, the wooden bridge was demolished and rebuilt with reinforced concrete bridge, designed by French engineer R. Minutti, and invested by the Ministry of Industry and named after the Zhapu Road Road. On February 15, 1994, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government announced that the Zhapu Road Bridge was an excellent historical building in Shanghai. Today, the Chapu Road Bridge has become a beautiful scenery in Shanghai, from morning to night in addition to passing by the citizens, more is occupied by photography enthusiasts long guns, because it is the best location for Suzhou River photography.
