Without spoiling anything, the Liu Laogen Grand Stage is now labeled a "Green Errenzhuan" (two-person opera) production, which doesn't affect the quality of the performances. However, locals also recommend the Nanfeng Grand Theater, claiming it's more grounded in Errenzhuan (though I didn't go). Liu Laogen is more expensive, as you'll usually see some of the people you see on TV. When it comes to ticket purchases, Liu Laogen's process is somewhat of a hybrid of online and offline, unlike the usual practice. You can buy tickets in advance through the official ticket app, but the offline ticket booth doesn't open until 10 a.m. on the morning of the show to select and collect your seats. This means if you don't select your seat early and wait until showtime to redeem your ticket, you'll only be assigned the last seat in that section. You can also buy tickets offline early, and you can choose your ideal seat, but there's a chance that a large number of people who buy tickets online in advance will sell out early (this situation shouldn't be very likely). Buying tickets through mainstream platforms like Ctrip doesn't require or require offline seat selection; the system automatically assigns tickets, but you still have to go to the ticket window to redeem them. I feel like the seats you're assigned are generally in the middle row, not the closest seats (because I bought my ticket as soon as it became available at 12 a.m., and still ended up in the middle row). I have never been to Liu Laogen Grand Stage to watch a performance. This year on May Day, I accompanied my father to watch it. My father loves to watch Benshan’s videos, so we bought two tickets on the platform. The ticket price starts at 480, and the most expensive one is 880. When I arrived at the gate and saw the three words "Liu Laogen", I felt festive. The artistes who perform here are different every day, so you can just catch whoever you want. There are quite a lot of people watching the show. I think the seats are almost full. The show is really interesting and makes us audiences laugh. They are all actors I have seen on TV. They all acted very well. It is more interesting than watching TV at home. There are also Errenzhuan performances, which is quite suitable for bringing the elderly. It is very good. If my friends from other places come to Shenyang in the future, I will bring them to watch it again.

It was my first time to watch Liu Laogen Grand Stage. It was very down-to-earth, a classic Northeastern Errenzhuan. There were many people in the audience eating melon seeds while watching, as lively as the New Year. Tickets for the afternoon show were easier to buy, but tickets for the evening show were a little harder to buy. Today on the big stage, I had the honor of watching Uncle Benshan, Song Xiaobao, Yan Xuejing, Wen Song, Li Daguo, Dachengzi, Wang Long and many other bright actors perform on stage. It was really a pleasant surprise. Uncle Benshan is very friendly, Wensong's wife is very beautiful, Yan Xuejing is very down-to-earth, and every crosstalk actor also works very hard.
