Prajna Temple

Prajna Temple, as the name suggests, the word "prajna" means wisdom in Buddhism, which means the boundless wisdom of the Buddha's sea. Shenyang Banruo Temple was built by a monk in the 23rd year of the Qing Dynasty. The temple itself is on a mountain and cannot be reached by car. On the contrary, hiking on foot has a different kind of taste. The temple has a complete set of buildings, divided into Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Zushi Hall, Tibetan Scripture Building, etc., which are large in scale and magnificent. Although the temple has its current scale, it is also due to continuous repairs, especially the repairs carried out in 1924, which established the current pattern. Prajna Temple is a temple with a long history and strong charm. Mountain climbing, temple viewing, and Buddha worship are absolutely three birds with one stone! The Prajna Temple was built by the eminent monk Gu Lin in the 23rd year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1684) and was rebuilt twice. Destroyed in the mid-1960s, repairs were carried out after 1979 and the statue was rebuilt. In October 1984, when the temple was built 300 years ago, a Buddha statue consecration ceremony was held. In 1985, it was announced as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
