My friend and I had an absolute fantastic time visiting the ski resort in Shenzhen. I was worried about how crowded it was and how easy it was (as my Chinese isn’t so good) but it was great! You MUST bring your passport to get your ski pass, then everything you collect is logged in your ski pass: collection of helmet, ski jacket and trousers, boots and skis. Then at the end you return it when you’re finished. You MUST be aware of your own time as no one will remind you when your time is up. For English speakers it’s super easy to do, just don’t get overwhelmed by the amount of people trying to sell you stuff before you get in. Remember your gloves and to wear something comfy - extra socks necessary! If you’re a beginner , intermediate or slaying the powder on the slopes, there’s something for everyone!
Huafa Ice and Snow Miracle is the world's largest indoor ski resort located in Qianhai, Shenzhen. It has a construction area of 100,000 square meters, equivalent to 14 standard football fields, a vertical drop of 83 meters, and the longest single track is 463 meters. It maintains a temperature of -6°C year-round and is equipped with 5 professional ski slopes (total length 1,569 meters), which can host international ski competitions.

Is good to get the basics down and learn it here (if you are local from mainland China/ Macau / Hong Kong) before going overseas to snowboard or ski. It is the world’s largest indoor skii centre right now. The 4 hours deals are pretty mediocre for the value however, if you could endure the long hours of snowboarding or skiing definitely go for the unlimited time ticket as it’s much more affordable for the value. You could stay here from 10am-10pm for the unlimited time ticket. There’s also restaurants and drinks available within the skiing centre. However, please notice that once you are in the park and scanned the tickets you will not be able to go outside again. Which is pretty bum if you would rather prefer more food choices which is located outside of the ski park. Within the mall, there’s lots of different restaurants ranging from Japanese sushi to Korean bbq and even steak and pizza! Definitely come and have a go if you are close by!
The place is very new and people are very helpful even on a golden week
I've been thinking about it for a long time. I was attracted by various red books and came to check in the world's largest indoor ski resort - Qianhai Ice and Snow World. It's amazing that you can see ice and snow in Shenzhen. It's too shocking for people from the south. Although it was my first time learning to ski, I fell many times, but it was worth it. I learned it and will come back to ski next time.
🏅Guinness World Records Official Certification! Huafa Ice and Snow Wonderland, the world's largest indoor ski center. A snow world with a total construction area of 100,000 square meters. Largest scale! ✅Most complete ski runs! ✅Highest vertical drop! ✅ 🌟Tips and Essentials: 1. Original ID card!! (Must bring, must bring, must bring, otherwise you can't get your ticket) 2. Basic protective gear: Ski gloves (can be bought outside, otherwise your hands will freeze), rented Polar Bear protective gear (with protective gear, falls won't hurt; beginners without protective gear will have painful falls) 3. Comfortable clothing (the instructors inside recommend wearing yoga pants; don't wear anything too thin as the temperature is -6 degrees Celsius) 🌟Experience: 1. We bought a 3-hour ticket, which requires completing the entire process within 3 hours: entering - getting equipment - changing equipment - skiing - changing equipment - returning equipment - leaving (there's also a 30-minute bonus, so it's actually 3.5 hours; time is tight, so it's recommended to eat a full meal and use the restroom before changing equipment) 2. There are lockers at the equipment changing area; the 20 RMB deposit will be refunded. 3. The ticket includes a ski suit, helmet, and skis. Snowboards and skis are in different areas (for better photos, I recommend renting; I rented mine, and it wasn't expensive. The free ones had a rather dated color). 4. The beginner slopes are accessed by magic carpet, while intermediate and advanced slopes are accessed by chairlift. Transportation: Line 20 [Convention and Exhibition Center - Exit B] Navigate to "Huafa Ice and Snow Miracle"
Huafa Skiing First Trip Summary 1. The slopes are easy to navigate, and those with basic skills can tackle the advanced slopes. However, you should learn to ski on one foot first, otherwise you could easily fall when getting off the cable car and cause an accident. 2. A mask and gloves are essential, and goggles are optional. 3. Quick-drying underwear and a snowsuit are sufficient, but if you wait in line for a long time, you'll get cold at the top, so adding a liner is recommended. 4. The smell of the renovations is strong, so those who are sensitive to it are advised to bring a special mask.
As a "snow addict" who grew up in southern China but still has a fascination with snow, Huafa Ice and Snow World is my lifesaver! I used to envy my friends in the north, but now I can walk on real snow in just an hour from Futian. I can go on weekends on a whim, no longer having to wait for winter to fly to the Northeast. The service was heartwarming the first time I visited—the front desk lady patiently helped me choose my gear, and the staff offered to help me when they saw me fall. The best part was being able to hire a professional instructor. The instructor was incredibly patient and taught me how to change edges in just half an hour. My mom no longer has to worry about me falling like a penguin trying to learn on my own! This place gives me "skiing freedom"—no need to wait for seasons or rush for vacations, I can ski whenever I want. While it's not as vast as a natural ski resort, for a southern kid, being able to walk out the door into sub-zero snow on a 30-degree summer day and hear the swish of skis scraping against the packed snow is a bliss that only you can imagine! I've already recommended it to all my friends in the skiing community!
Okay, here's a shorter and more concise version: Ice and Snow World Review Qianhai Ice and Snow World, the world's largest, offers an amazing ice and snow experience! The 100-meter ice slide is incredibly thrilling. The interactive ice sculpture area is very creative. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, so bring your own gloves. While the entrance fee is a bit pricey, seeing the kids having so much fun is definitely worth it! It's a great weekend getaway for a family outing and a snowy experience.
