OutstandingI found this attraction in someone else's travelogue and had it in my mind for a long time before finally checking it out. The Twenty-Four Histories Academy is also part of Gankeng Ancient Town. While the ancient town is free to enter, the academy requires an entrance fee. If you have time, explore the ancient town first, eat and drink, then enter the academy, waiting for dusk when the lights turn on for some photos. However, aside from taking photos, there's not much else to do there. There are several book rooms where you can relax and read quietly, but be wary of mosquitoes as there are lots of plants.

I found this attraction in someone else's travelogue and had it in my mind for a long time before finally checking it out. The Twenty-Four Histories Academy is also part of Gankeng Ancient Town. While the ancient town is free to enter, the academy requires an entrance fee. If you have time, explore the ancient town first, eat and drink, then enter the academy, waiting for dusk when the lights turn on for some photos. However, aside from taking photos, there's not much else to do there. There are several book rooms where you can relax and read quietly, but be wary of mosquitoes as there are lots of plants.

A place worth visiting with rich historical and cultural heritage
If the ticket price of Shenzhen Twenty-Four Histories Academy is cheaper, I will give it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good review, but 60 RMB is a bit expensive for such a small place. Or the ticket price will be more reasonable when it is divided into off-season and peak season. Otherwise, the lack of performances during the off-season is secondary. The main thing is that the most photogenic Shiji Pavilion is not fully lit at night, which really disappointed me. After all, I came here to take night photos.
It is such a treasure place, with beautiful scenery and elegant environment. There are many bookstores inside, and you can stay here for a whole day to read. There are few people, and parking is convenient and cheap. I immediately applied for an annual pass and plan to come here often to read books in the future.
I happened to go there on the day of the Flower Festival. I saw that the photos people took were beautiful. I spent 60 yuan to get in, but I still felt that it was not worth it. There were not many places to take photos, just a few spots 😂. You can just walk around the Gankeng town outside, hahahaha
