It is right outside the railway station entrance, but there is no information in a Western language, so we do not "get it". I do like the statues though. Are they cleaners ?
A monument in front of Shingu station. Higashi Kume is a nursery rhyme songwriter from Shingu. "Hato Poppo" was written by Higashi Kume and composed by Rentaro Taki. It is different from the nursery rhyme of "Poppopo, Dove Popo", and it is probably a song that most people do not know. The monument says "85 years old Higashi Kume", so it may have been carved on a stone with Kume's own lyrics. There is a monument of "sakurapopo" built by shingu lions club nearby.
Poppoppo's pigeon poppo is a nursery rhyme that anyone in Japan knows. I didn't know the author, but for the first time I learned that he was Higashi Kume-san from Shingu City. There is a stone monument in front of Shingu station, but it is a achievement that should be a museum.

Original Text
A monument in the rotary in front of Shingu Station. I thought it was a song that started with "Poppoppo", but the lyrics are different from that. However, there is a theory that the nursery rhyme of "Poppoppo" was made by imitating this "Dove Poppo". .. ..
It was in the square in front of Shingu station. I just took a quick look. There is a statue of the Lantern Festival nearby, and I took a picture there.

It's not that nursery rhyme.
