Go to Wangbo Temple from Wangbo Road. We saw some buildings and activities when we were almost there, so we didn't find the main temple until we got closer. Then we went to the temple. There are Buddha statues and pagodas, as well as some ancient murals and objects. This is one of the oldest temples in the town. It houses well-preserved frescoes from the late 19th century that depict Cambodia’s interpretation of the Ramayana. We saw a monk in the temple. I saw a few small tables in the temple, or a banquet. There is a huge metal bell outside the temple. When I started the tour it was about 9:30 in the morning, when there were very few tourists. From here you can walk to Wat Pera’s temple in 10 minutes.
This is a temple not too far from the old market in Siem Reap, because it is not near the main food and tourist attractions, so not many people come here to see it, but everyone has visited so many temples in Angkor Wat , I haven’t seen the existence of a monk, but here I saw a monk bathing for those who came to pray. This method really makes me hard to understand, but I respect their religious beliefs very much. Seeing scoops of cold well water pouring on their heads, they showed a relatively painful expression, but they must be very happy in their hearts, because a saint bathed them and washed themselves away. The so-called sin.
It’s very special here. It’s different from the lifeless stones that I saw before. There are people here. The temple in Siem Reap is actually more like a school because the local monks teach in it. A photo I like very much was taken here: the elephant guards the temple and the cat’s dream.
Wat Bo is one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in Siem Reap. Noted for its stunning murals, it is not as touristy as other places in Siem Reap (makes for a good visit) and is the perfect place to experience the chants of monks.
The oldest temple in Siem Reap houses many murals and carvings of the Khmer Dynasty. The local temple looks a bit old because it is the oldest temple in the city. This temple built in the 19th century is famous for its beautiful frescoes, and now you can see the remains of the old temple. There are well-preserved frescoes from the end of the 19th century in the temple, depicting the situation in the biography of Rama. Construction of new buildings is also underway in the temple.
The gate is made of cement, which is a bit old and looks very vicissitudes of life. As soon as you enter the door, there is a Buddhist temple without walls. There is only a circle of pillars and a cloister outside, with a roof on top, and a group of Buddha images inside. Behind the main temple is the main Buddha hall. The roof of the temple is covered with triple eaves and red tiles, but the color has faded and turned black with the passage of time. There are exquisite decorations on the side of the roof. The two gods are stacked together and hold the instruments. In the background There are carved flowers, and the whole is light yellow. Surrounded by a circle of corridors, there are stone fences on the corridor, there is a circle of small beasts on it, there are four white cement gates, the door is arched with carved patterns and some beasts as decoration, there are two white elephants and a pair at the door A colorful warrior guards the gate with an epee in his hand. The other three gates are sacred beasts, one resembling a lion, and another resembling a Chinese unicorn but with the long nose of an elephant. The top of the white concrete building has turned black after years of erosion by wind and rain, and the overall color has faded. The beasts of the other three doors are different. The whole main temple is very large and very imposing, and it is relatively long at first glance. The stone pillars in the inner circle are white. Each door on the inner side has a lintel. The carvings on it are exquisite and there are also windows. Each tells a different story and expresses a different scene. This kind of decoration is made of white cement. Because there is a corridor, it has not experienced wind and rain, but it has fallen on a thick layer of soil, which is still black. The gate of the main temple did not open, and the legendary murals were not seen. There are no flagpoles in the temple. The flags are hung on tall bamboo poles. The flags are slender and have many levels. There are also two colored ribbons like kites. This may be a special flag for the temple. The towers of this temple are not gathered in one place, they are built around the main temple, and the form is no different from that of other temples. There is a temple under construction in the back, and the cabinet frame of the roof is erected, and its structure can be seen. There is a very beautiful house next to it, with a Western style, with prominent round eaves, and a terrace below, where you can drink coffee and view the scenery, but there is also a traditional roof, which is very unique. There are also wooden houses, which are much worse. There are also unfinished temples and unpainted pavilions. There is a smaller temple on the back, which is relatively simple. When I walked out of the temple from the other side, I saw a large red seven-headed snake-shaped sculpture in the courtyard. In fact, there was a Garuda carved on the front. It was made of cement and painted with red paint. The overall sculpture is complex and exquisite. There is a very strange tree next to it, with many branches like antlers. There are also many flowers and plants in the courtyard to bring some life to the old temple.
