Living in close proximity to reservoirs has its pros and cons. Water catchment areas mean more rain, but taking walks by bodies of water is great exercise for body and mind. address: Old Upper Thomson Road towards Lower Peirce Boardwalk, Old Upper Thomson Road towards Lower Peirce Boardwalk best things in life are free! one of my favorite hiking trail. the planks are 900m long. the whole trail are well structured with wooden plank, I felt it’s too short cos it only takes 45min or less to complete. pack mosquito patch. do not bring food. its a beautiful place. very serene and good for sunset. it was more crowded during Covid-19 lockdown. but now it’s more manageable. there are few heritage plants there. it’s also the 2nd oldest reservoir in singapore. there’s just something about water features that relaxes your senses. there are operating hours there. please check before going! enjoy your trek :) it’s mostly flat land with few stairs here and there. #meetsingapore

A majestic old tree standing strong and proud is one of the key highlights of the reservoir, and its so instagrammable that almost any pic which you take with your special someone will look great there! #exploresgtogether #exlporesgtogether #momentssg #hiking #nature Lower Peirce has been one of my favourite hangouts due to the peace and calm that it brings me whenever I need to destress 😌 it is also my favourite destination whenever I do long distance runs from my home all the way to the reservoir, going through bishan-amk park 🌱 Upon entering, you will be greeted with many photographers especially during 🌇, because weather permitting and if skies are really clear and the sun was really hot prior, the sunset will look amazinggg😍 truly worth the wait! the combination of the iconic pavilion, the rocks and calm expanse of water and trees make picturesque images that can be seen on Google ☺ It has a relatively short boardwalk further down where 🐒 await so beware. But apart from that it is quite an easy walk where you will walk through the greenery and past the really clear waters, which you can even see the mirror reflections of the trees and ⛅ if weather permits 🥰 If you are lucky, you can see squirrels and even the elusive mouse mousedeer up close 🤗 Highly recommend to drop by for a free yet fun activity to destress!

#singaporetrip This is a quiet reservoir park with a lovely view of the Lower Peirce Reservoir. Usually not too crowded except for the occasional groups of visitors. The park also has good walking paths (board walk) that give a good walking workout. Occasionally you will come across wildlife that ventures into the open. A good place to chill barring the occasional noisy groups that break the tranquility of the place.

Come follow me on a nature walk at Lower Peirce Reservior, one of Singapore’s oldest reservior. I began my hike along the reservior, enjoying the morning sun, breeze and people watching. There are lots to see and discover at this reservior park. After exploring the area, I headed on one of the many trails leading into the forest. You could easily spend an hour or two exploring all the little trails here. Along my walk in the forest I saw animals such as monkeys, squrriels and even a monitor lizard. Unfortunately the monitor lizard was too fast for me to capture on camera. The paths are well paved and very senior friendly as there are also many benches along. Overall it was a beautiful walk and I would recommend everyone to visit! #MyTripVlog

Located in the Thomson Catchment area, Lower Peirce Reservoir is one of the oldest reservoirs in Singapore. There are many well marked trails running through the forest and along the reservoir. We took a nice morning hike through the reservoir and forest. We started off walking along the reservoir, enjoying the morning breeze, wildlife and watching people fish. From there we ventured into one of the many trails that leads into the forest. Tall trees line the trails with a variety of flora and fauna. It’s a nice easy hike with plenty to look at. We saw monkeys playing, squirrels gnawing on nuts and even a monitor lizard! What a soothing morning, feeding our nature loving souls. The trails are senior friendly too with non slip boardwalks, railings, benches and an accessible toilet right at the entrance. #gohiking
