Dee Wright Observatory- Highly Recommended
Seeing these lava flows and reading about the eruption and the effects on the landscape was amazing! My parter has been there before and taken night photos and I can only imagine how eerie it was!
Cool views
Nice views from this roadside attraction. Lava fields in this area are amazing - almost bizarre really.
GEM of a FIND on our way to Cougar Springs from Bend! So glad we stopped and took in the phenom 360° views from the top!
Loved this brief stop with the fam! Note the views through each of the windows in the observatory as well as at the top!
Not open in the winter
I have been here several times, with children and adults, and each time I see more! As strange an wonderful as the observatory is, do not miss the interpretive trail to the east of the actual observat...
Worth the travel one time.
This is a must see if you have time and willing to drive miles of curved highway (no open in the winter). Wasn't the clearest weather, but was able to see most the mountains around. Bring a lunch an...
