What travelers say:

Lincoln's Tomb is located in Oak Ridge Cemetery, which is located west of the north of Springfield, the capital of Illinois. Many ordinary people are buried in this cemetery. People just opened up an open area in the cemetery to build Lincoln's tomb. His wife and son are also buried in this cemetery. In the cemetery stands a granite obelisk 30 meters high. The four corners of the tower are decorated with four groups of bronze statues representing infantry, artillery, cavalry and navy. These four groups of statues symbolize northern soldiers who were martyred during the Civil War. Lincoln's big bronze statue stands in front of the tomb. The tomb passage is open, and the tomb passage leads to the tomb chamber. There are some bronze statues of Lincoln on both sides of the tomb, as well as the bronze medals of his famous speech (inlaid on the walls of the tomb). The tomb path leads directly to the tomb, where Lincoln’s sarcophagus is placed. Free parking is available in the cemetery. There is no charge for parking and visiting the Lincoln Tomb.

    On Tuesday in the summer

They have a flag Retreat ceremony, at 7PM June-August. It is very moving inside the thumb, we’re Lincoln, his wife and 3 of his sons are interned.

Don’t Miss This - doesn’t take much time. Very well done.

We really enjoyed seeing this monument. It was all outside except for the burial site. Lots of great historical information. The entire setting is beautiful and well planned.

Very respectful and moving ode to the President!

Tough to make cemeteries "fun" but this one is a must and is a great chance to see beauty and pay respects and learn all at same time!

    Interesting

I thought this was a nicely done tomb. It is impressive from the outside and the inside. The inside has a circular hallway with some statues as well as the tomb markers for Lincoln, his wife, and al...
