Worth a visit....check for times it chimes
Came across more by accident after a walk ....decided to wait for the chimes.....glad we did. Along with other people who were waiting. Also went into the war memorial hall that had photo and info of ...
It was just luck that we were here in time to see the click perform. It’s kinda cute and a bit of good fun. The clock could do with a clean and a paint but otherwise all good.
Stratford Glockenspiel Clock Tower is a 5 minute performance of Romeo and Juliet and shown 4 times a day. Unfortunately we missed the 1st daily performance and had to wait 1 1/2 hours for the next one...
It was pouring down with rain ... but we arrived in time for the 10 am "showing". The full commentary was in te Reo Maori ... apparently, as it was Waitangi Weekend "someone" thought it would be a go...

Cool
The Romeo and Juliet cuckoo-clock thing was quite engaging. The clock knows its Shakespeare! Worth hanging out for!
