based on 2 reviewsThere is a natural stone wall standing tall, with inscriptions all over the stone wall, which is magnificent. It is called "Daguan Peak" or "Tang Cliff". When I came to Daguan Peak, I was really shocked by the dense stone carvings! There are layers of inscriptions from past dynasties here, and there are almost no people coming. It is said that there are 70 or 80 inscriptions, not including those that have been covered. This place has almost become a message board for the ancients! Among these stone carvings, the most eye-catching is the "Inscription on Mount Tai" written by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Li Longji when he was enshrined in Mount Tai. The cliff stele is 13.3 meters high and 5.7 meters wide. The full text has 1,008 characters. It is a record stele of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang's enshrinement of Mount Tai in the east to sing praises of his virtues. On the west side of Daguan Peak on the top of Dai, there is a cliff inscription "Yunfeng" left by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty when he climbed and paid tribute to Mount Tai. It is in regular script and was engraved in the 22nd year of Kangxi (1684). "Yunfeng" describes the height of Mount Tai. Below the inscription "Yunfeng", there are two poems written by Emperor Qianlong titled "Staying at Mount Tai at Night", in running script, carved in the 13th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign (1748). One poem reads: "Climbing to the top of Mount Tai, the servants are exhausted. The temporary palace is just a few buildings, built in the valley of the mountain. The sky is the neighbor, and the clouds are like a nest. I lean on the railing and look down at the pines of Mount Tai, and look out the window at the suburbs of Qi. Resting here, I have an unexpected encounter. Respectfully recite poems to the moon, lingering and cherishing the clear night." The other poem reads: "In the evening, the clouds and mists disappear, and the stars are bright near night. The sounds of nature are heard from the sheng and yu, and the pine flowers are in the curtains. The gods and minds are wonderfully connected, and the past and present are the same. It is the beginning of a predestined relationship, and the first land is really enjoyable. It is impossible to have a clear dream, and it is foolish to seek immortal fruit."

The calligraphy and stone carvings on Mount Tai are truly unique in the world. If the schedule was not tight, I would really like to see all the stone carvings one by one. The Tang Dynasty cliff carvings are even more classic, covering the entire wall and you can’t even see them all.

The calligraphy and stone carvings on Mount Tai are really beautiful, and are also the most important feature that distinguishes Mount Tai from other famous mountains. Apart from the calligraphy on the side of Mount Huangshan, there is basically no other calligraphy. The calligraphy on Mount Tai is really everywhere.
