    A Piece of Hawaiian History Preserved

    The .7 mile walk to the petroglyphs takes a while and the “forest,” such as it is, provides little relief from the sun. The walk is worth it, though.

    Hawaiian history in stone

    Easy hike over slightly uneven terrain through Kiawe forest. Beautiful petroglyphs , easy to see from marked path. Best light to see and photograph in early morning, or late afternoon.
