The Church of the Beatitudes

The Baptist Church is located on the edge of Lake Galilee in Tiberia, northern Israel, named after the biblical account of Jesus preaching to the churches here, the famous Gospel of the Eighth. Unlike other church buildings, the Bafu Church is constructed in an octagonal shape, with eight windows under the dome showing the contents of the Gospel.

The Bafu Hall is located on the north bank of Lake Galilee on the Bafu Mountain. This is the place where Jesus "climbing and preaching and enlightening the people". The Bafu is a shorthand for "Bafu True Truth", which refers to eight kinds of blessings, namely: humility, mourning, tenderness, hunger, thirst, compassion, peace, harmony, and righteousness. The full text of the eight blessings reads: “Blessed are the humble, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs; blessed are the mourners, for they will be comforted; blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the land; blessed are the hungry and thirsty, for they will be satisfied.” Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be merciful, and blessed are the pure, for they shall see God; blessed are the peaceable, for they shall be the Son of God; blessed are the oppressed of righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.”

The Bafu Hall, designed by Italian designer Berucci, was resurrected by visiting the fourteenth passage of the crucifixion. It is an important stop here. Although the church is a new design, many of the church utensils inside are thousands of cultural relics and deserve to be carefully appreciated.

On the hill of Bafu, six kilometers from Peter's Heart, the church is octagonal in its interior, and on the top of it there are eight glass windows engraved with the words of Bafu. I can't understand it. The mosaic on the ground spells Jesus as the eight people who are blessed. We arrived there at about four o'clock, and it was almost dusk, which made the whole church more beautiful, and tourists gradually became scarce. Next to the church is a beautiful garden, standing in the garden can overlook the lake view. I especially like the unknown seven-color flowers in the garden next to the church.

Bafu Church departs at 7:50 am on July 31, 2016. The Panshan Highway is slowly moving. On the right is Lake Galilee, the Golan Heights on the other side of the lake, and the left Galilee Mountain. At 8:25, we will go to Bafu Mountain and stop to see Bafu Church. Bafu Mountain is a hill on the north bank of Lake Galilee. The mountain is not high but has sacred sites. The New Testament records that Jesus Christ spread the gospel here, and one day, more than 5,000 believers and the people followed Jesus here, Jesus stopped to preach, this is the famous "Mountaineering" in Christianity. The first part of the "Holy Word" is about the eight blessings, so the mountain is called the eight blessings. In the book of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, in chapter 5, Jesus said, "Blessed are the humble, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs. Blessed are the mourners, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth." Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled; blessed are those who have mercy, for they will be mercy; blessed are those who have a pure heart, for they will see God; blessed are those who make peace, for they will be called the Son of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness. Because the kingdom of heaven is theirs. Bafu, the Christians are the norm of human beings. The yard is beautiful, the greenery is high and low, the jujube trees are standing, the fruit is full, and there are still falling on the ground. Passing by there is a "five cakes and two fish" pattern sculpture. The Bible story says that Jesus is not far away, with five cakes brought by the believers, Two fish fed more than 5,000 followers. The date palm tree is tall and full of branches, matured, and some have fallen. The scenery around the church is beautiful, and the ground at the door is covered with more than ten mosaic patterns, telling religious stories. Small church, a house, like a clock, vault, octagonal, representing eight blessings, eight windows, representing different scenery and life from eight perspectives, built by Italians. Go in and visit, you can take pictures and you can't talk. Christianity has seven sins: hubris, greed, lust, rage, greed, jealousy, laziness. Seven virtues: hope, benevolence, strength/braveness, wisdom, justice, faith, caution. At 8:55, I bought a $22 postcard and stamped it back to China.

The Bafu Church is a Catholic church, a treasure of Fengshui, designed and built by Italians in 1938, located on the Bafu Mountain near Lake Galilee, commemorating Jesus' preaching of the Gospel of Heaven on this mountain that specifically refers to the Christian Bafu: Blessed are the humble, blessed are the mourners, and blessed are the gentle. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, and blessed are those who have mercy, and blessed are those who have peace, and blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness. The first part of the Scriptures is about the eight blessings. By the way, the seven Christian sins: arrogant, greedy, lustful, angry, greedy, jealous, lazy. The seven Christian virtues: hope, benevolence, strength/braveness, wisdom, justice, faith, prudence.

The Bafu Temple is built in the foothills of Bafu Mountain. Bafu Mountain is a high hill on the north bank of Lake Galilee. Because Jesus preached the "Treasure in the Mountain" here, the first part of the Hadith is about Bafu, so it is named. It is quiet, tree-lined and mountain flowers are full.
