Because of its more temperate climate than the surrounding areas, Penang Hill is used as a resort from which to escape the summer heat. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can see the whole island. Not only just to Penang City, you can even see the Malay Peninsula in the distance. When the weather is good, you can take a ride on the famous cable car to the top of Penang Hill. The deep blue ocean and the lush Malay peninsula combine to make up a perfect color palette. This is truly the pearl of Southeast Asia. After the night, you can see glittering lights of Penang City and from many ship in the ocean. The beautiful scenery makes people want to forget to leave.

Penang Hill is one of my favorite places to hike. It’s pretty steep so make sure you have appropriate gear for hiking. If you just want to sightsee without the hike, you can take the train up. The greenery is just mesmerizing. Away from the busy areas, you can take a leisure walk through the many trails or walking paths. There are many flowers along the trail that adds to the beauty of this magnificent place.
Nice spot for ones who love talking photos and it is really nice view. Must visit! The train ride to Penang hill is so fast, so steep and such an experience. No visit to Penang is complete with a visit to Penang hill on the railway, Penang Hill Railway at a very reasonable price . Make sure you wander along the tracks at the top, or better still take a ride in a tuk tuk to view the wonderful scenery, and make sure that you go downstairs to the shopping centre where you can choose the most amazing ice creams! 🍦 Walk up to see the temples - they are amazing! 🌟⛅️☀️⛰🌿🍃 #roadtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #malaysia #malaysiatravel
There is a The Habitat Natural Ecological Park in the Peak District of Penang Hill. The park's tropical rainforest has a history of 130 million years. There is a 230-meter-long natural trail that explores the rainforests, trees, insects, birds, reptiles and mammals, and is rich in biodiversity.
However, if you enter The Habitat, you need to purchase another ticket. The fare is 47.51MYR. I personally think it is quite cost-effective because there is a Ring Top Walker on the Tree Top Walk. Seeing the 360-degree panorama of Penang is the highest view point on the island.
The height of the observation deck is 13 meters, just above the center rest area, which can accommodate 120 people at a time. From the air, the pillars standing on the roots are straight into the sky. Like a crown, it is like a ring set in a green forest. On the observation deck, the breeze blows, the extra comfort, standing on the side overlooking the old city of George, can take a panoramic view of Georgetown.
If you want to see the whole picture of Penang, then going to the flag mountain is the best choice.
There are two options for going up the mountain. One is to take the cable car, the other is to walk along the hiking trails and steps. It is recommended to take the second way to enjoy the scenery along the way. If you want to save trouble and effort, then recommend the cable car. I chose the cable car because the cable car here is quite distinctive. It is still the operation method of the cable pulling 7 or 8 years ago.
