After visiting Machu Picchu, I came to one of the surrounding attractions. This is a place with relatively few tourists. The Sun Temple and the Moon Temple are also important local ritual places, and the scale is also quite large.
The Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Moon is a temporary attraction after our trip to Machu Picchu. Although it is not so spectacular and visually fatigued compared to Machu Picchu, it is also a place with a long history that makes people feel shocking. Attractions
This place is great, but you need to do some homework in advance. In order to have fun here, I recommend finding a tour guide who speaks English well and knows the history of this place well. I saw that many people here only spend 20 minutes to visit here with a guide, and now only Waka de la Luna is open to the public, and Vaca del Sol is not yet open. Because the funds for this project are limited, the work progresses slowly. I believe that Trujillo's tourism industry will develop better in the next few years.
We visited Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu Mountain. Someone suggested that we pass the Moon Temple when we descend from Huayna Picchu. We regret it! The Moon Temple and the Great Cave are nice to see, but not really amazing. The detour is very heavy (very steep downhill, then walk back to Machu Picchu again). So when we finally returned to Machu Picchu, we were exhausted and regretted having lost all the time of our precious Machu Picchu day! So if you are in Machu Picchu one day, it is good to visit Huayna Picchu, because you always have a good view of the MP ruins. But go up the mountain on the standard route and avoid the roundabouts of the moon palace!
Our boat stops in Saraveri, about 30 minutes by taxi from this place. Then I waited for about 15 minutes, waiting for the start of the English group, and the next 45 minutes of travel. It's worth it. Some people won't get there through no way, but once they go, it's not particularly difficult.
