What travelers say:

A very typical church in Warsaw, Poland, the Holy Cross Church is also more interesting. There are many unique things in the church. The two-story main building and the three-story towers on both sides look very unique.

Additional Information

The Church of the Holy Cross stands in the heart of Warsaw, the capital of Poland, and is one of Warsaw's famous Baroque churches. Poland became the first target of Hitler in the Second World War. In 1944, the Polish soldiers and civilians took refuge in the church which served as a fortress and held an anti-Nazi uprising. This famous church was completely destroyed and became the hall of the dead during the assault on Poland. The Church of the Holy Cross is now a Baroque building which was rebuilt in the year 1946. The heart of the musician Chopin was sealed in the pillar of the church.
