From the appearance, the monument group is composed of 2711 gray steles of different lengths. From a distance, the black-grey steles are like a turbulent stone forest, which makes tourists feel unstable and disoriented. .
The Jewish Ghetto Memorial was built in 1948. In the autumn of 1940, Hitler fascists established a Jewish quarantine in Warsaw and forcibly moved Jews into the district. At its peak, the number had reached 450,000. On April 19, 1943, the unbearable Jews rebelled in the district and were suppressed. A large number of Jews were killed. The Jewish quarantine was immediately razed to the ground by the Nazi army.
