Visited Werribee Open Range Zoo in Melbourne with my children under 8 years old. The safari bus was the highlight of the trip. The safari bus will go thru section by section. Favorite section is the giraffes enclosure.
Melbourne's Wallerby Wildlife Park is a very large zoo, where animals live very freely, just like on the African savannah, you can take a tour bus to have a close contact with giraffes, zebra antelope, etc. You can also take a protective jeep into the Beast Zone and see very fierce lion tigers and cheetahs, definitely the most worthwhile zoo in Melbourne.
