Beautiful area, not crowded on a Friday. We went to have our pictures taken for our Hanfu experience around sunset and walked around afterwards to enjoy the night scenery. Lots of people taking pictures around the northeast gate.
I originally hadn’t planed to visit this place but I’m really glad that I did. It was so magical with all the lights and installments. I haven’t visited the show, but saw a part of it from the other side. I will definitely come back again to see the show.
The ticket I bought for the show included admission to the park. It was quite nice at night when the lights were on. After the Ziyun Tower show, I had to take some photos of the night view quickly because security would rush to clear people out and the Ziyun Tower would become the stage for another performance.
The hotel we stayed in was in the Tang Paradise scenic area. We were given tickets to the Tang Paradise and ancient costumes. We took our children to take some photos. Because it was still a bit cold in winter, we didn't visit for too long. ✅Must experience: You must go there at night. The lights are particularly beautiful. We chose costumes for our children at the hotel and took some photos in the scenic area at will. They were very beautiful. ❤Recommendation reason: The night view of the scenic area is particularly beautiful. It is very close to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Tang Dynasty City that Never Sleeps. It can be reached by taxi in one or two kilometers. It is also not far from the Qujiang Pond Ruins Park. It is very convenient.
This is a large amusement park built by Xi'an City. It has ancient buildings, water streets and waterscapes, and various performances. It is a large leisure and entertainment venue that is worth visiting. It is now one of the must-visit places for national tourist groups to visit Xi'an. Since it is relatively large, there are many things to visit. We also watched the performance of Dream Back to the Tang Dynasty, which was particularly spectacular and shocking. The performance of the water curtain movie was also very good. I have been here several times, but I still feel that there are too many people and tickets are required.
Tang Paradise: A Cultural Breakthrough of a Garden On the banks of Qujiang River in Xi'an, the Tang Paradise, covering an area of 1,000 mu, is like an exquisite jade cong, solidifying the atmosphere of the prosperous Tang Dynasty in a modern city of reinforced concrete. This replica of the royal garden, which cost 1.3 billion yuan to build, has been accompanied by the criticism of "fake antiques" and the question of "cultural Disney" since its birth. But walking in it, the light and shadow flowing between the flying eaves and brackets are not only commercialized, but also a breakthrough experiment of traditional culture in the contemporary context. 1. The shape of the garden: a contemporary expression of spatial aesthetics Standing in front of Ziyun Tower and looking up, the three-story hip roof reshapes the majestic momentum of Tang Dynasty architecture with modern steel structure, and the vermilion columns cast in concrete perfectly reproduce the prosperous Tang Dynasty style of "red pillars and carved rafters". Architects use modern materials to reconstruct traditional forms and revive historical symbols in mechanical structures. This reconstruction is not a simple copy and paste, but a reinterpretation of tradition through technological innovation. The water system in the garden is as winding as the Qujiang River in the Tang Dynasty, but it hides mysteries. The mist system creates mist on the lake surface, and the LED light strips outline the outline of the building under the night sky. These modern scientific and technological means transform the literati elegance of "Qujiang Liuyin" into a perceptible and immersive experience. Visitors reach out to touch not only the mist, but also the poetry that has traveled through thousands of years. The digital exhibition of the Ladies' Pavilion is particularly meaningful. Holographic projection reproduces the graceful figure of "Ladies with Flowers in Their Hair", and AR technology allows the characters in the murals to walk down the wall. When scientific and technological means transform static cultural relics into dynamic narratives, traditional culture has gained the ability to communicate with digital natives. 2. Cultural Soul: Awakening Ceremony of Collective Memory The "Dream Back to the Tang Dynasty" performed every day is not an ordinary song and dance show, but a carefully designed cultural ceremony. When the drumbeats of "Qin Wang Pozhen Music" blend with modern symphony, the audience completes the spiritual pilgrimage to the prosperous Tang Dynasty in sound and light. This kind of performance is essentially to transform the cultural memory in the classics into a participatory group experience. The imperial examination experience project in Xingyuan is quite ingenious. Visitors wear long shirts and carry baskets to take the exam, and the electronic screen simulates the success of the exam when the list is announced. This role-playing is not a shallow cosplay, but a situational substitution to awaken the cultural genes in the blood, turning "Spring breeze and proud horse hoofs" from a poem into a touchable collective memory. Tang Poetry Gorge under the night is the most philosophical. The ancient quatrains carved on the cliff are reactivated by light and shadow, and the sound waves when the tourists recite trigger the corresponding visual effects. When "The bright moon shines among the pines" is visualized in sound and light, the poem is no longer the lead type in the textbook, but an interactive cultural scene. 3. Breakthrough: Modern Translation of Traditional Symbols Furong Garden's most successful breakthrough lies in creating a cultural intermediate state. It is not a cultural relic for people to admire in a museum, nor is it a pure entertainment space in a theme park, but a cultural transition zone built with modern language. Here, tourists are both spectators and participants, and traditional culture is both protected and deconstructed. The creation of the water curtain movie "Dreaming of the Tang Dynasty" is highly symbolic. Lasers project the flying murals onto the water curtain, and holographic technology allows historical figures to perform on the same stage with modern dancers. This time-space folding performance method is just like the survival status of traditional culture in the contemporary era.
[Value for money] Tickets are a bit expensive [Scenery] Tang Furong Garden, a reappearance of the prosperous times, with a perfect fusion of ancient architecture and modern technology. Walking in the garden, it feels like traveling back to the Tang Dynasty, feeling the grandeur and exquisiteness of the royal garden. The water curtain movie and laser show are shocking, and the cultural performances are wonderful.
Datang Furong Garden is located in Qujiang New District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, China. It is a large theme park integrating history and culture, garden landscape and modern entertainment. It is not only one of the models of ancient Chinese royal gardens, but also a great place for tourists to experience Tang Dynasty culture today. The park has restored many palaces, pavilions and pavilions in the Tang Dynasty, such as Ziyun Building, Wangchun Pavilion, Xingyuan, etc. These antique buildings are designed and built strictly in accordance with historical materials, and strive to reproduce the style of the Tang Dynasty. Furong Lake is the core water body of the entire scenic spot. The lake is open and the water quality is clear. There is a fountain show in the lake, and there will be colorful light shows at night, bringing visual enjoyment to tourists. In addition to the beautiful natural scenery, there are many works showing the culture and art of the Tang Dynasty. For example, sculpture, murals, calligraphy works and traditional crafts exhibitions, so that visitors can learn more about the glory of that era. The fare is 120 yuan and you can play for a day.
