The Temple of Heaven ruins are displayed in their original appearance, with new green landscapes and park roads added around the ruins. A 200-meter-long and 30-meter-wide green corridor is planned on the south side of the ruins park, forming a north-south transparent visual corridor with the Temple of Heaven as the core, ultimately achieving the goal of combining the protection and utilization of cultural relics with the construction of urban green spaces.

The ruins of the Temple of Heaven in Xi'an were first built in the Sui Dynasty and were used as a ceremonial building for the emperor's worship of heaven in the Tang Dynasty for nearly 300 years. It is worth a visit for tourists visiting Xi'an.
Coming out of the National Exhibition Center Station of Xi'an Subway, I accidentally discovered this heritage park hidden among high-rise buildings. This Temple of Heaven ruins, which has traveled through time and space for thousands of years, has left footprints of many emperors and generals of the Sui and Tang dynasties, conveying a rich historical message.
Xi'an Sui and Tang Circular Mound (Temple of Heaven) was built in the 10th year of Kaihuang (590 AD) of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty, and has a history of more than 1,400 years. During the more than 300 years from Sui Dynasty to Tang Dynasty, Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty Yang Jian, Emperor Bing of Sui Dynasty Yang Guang, Emperor Taizong of Tang Dynasty Li Shimin, Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty Li Zhi, Empress Wu Zetian, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty Li Longji and other emperors all ascended the altar to offer sacrifices to heaven. In order to carry forward the traditional history and culture of the Chinese nation and show this precious cultural heritage to the world, in 2017, the Xi'an Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government decided to implement the site protection and display and surrounding environment improvement project, and build a site park. The site park was completed and opened to the public in early 2018.
【Scenery】The Temple of Heaven in Xi'an is the Temple of Heaven in the Sui and Tang Dynasties, which is more than 1,000 years earlier than the Temple of Heaven in Beijing during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Circular Mound of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing was rebuilt during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty on the basis of the Circular Mound of the Ming and early Qing Dynasties. An Jiayao, a cultural relic expert from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, pointed out that compared with the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, the Tang Temple of Heaven in Xi'an is more valuable. The Temple of Heaven in Beijing is only 5.4 meters high, while the Temple of Heaven in Xi'an is 8 meters high. The Temple of Heaven in Beijing has steps only on four sides, while the Temple of Heaven in Xi'an has steps on 12 sides, which is more in line with the Zhou Li ritual. Twenty emperors of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, including Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, Wu Zetian, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, etc., ascended the altar to offer sacrifices to heaven, and it was hailed as the "No. 1 Altar in the World". 【Value for money】Free.
