The botanical gardens in Xiamen are massive and can keep you occupied for hours on end!
We spent about half a day exploring the different sections of garden including the bamboo forest and the succulent forest 🌵🏜
There are over 1.8 million trees and 4,000 different kinds of flora in the garden and each area is just as beautiful as the next.
You’ll fall in love with the changing scenery as you walk through the winding paths of this gigantic park.
Fun fact: If you get there before 7am, admission is free!
Took a break from the cold, rainy Shanghai weather to spend a couple of days in sunny Xiamen!
From rooftop cafes, to the massive botanical garden, to Jimei School Village, there are no shortage of sights to see in Xiamen.
One unexpected find was the Railway Cultural Park. What started off as me following an abandoned railway track, wound up being an hour walk along it through changing sceneries with locals playing various games in this makeshift park. I stopped walking after an hour but the railway park continued on as far as the eye could see 🛤
This was my second time in Xiamen and I def see myself going again!
Every city has its own unique beauty
Hot and sweet summer afternoon
