Afandi is the most outstanding artist in India, and the museum is also designed and built by him himself. It contains all his paintings.
You can stay for a day on your visit, mainly I love the museum. The collection is very rich. You can come here to learn about the local history. The tickets are also cheaper.
Affandi is one of my favorite Indonesian painters. He’s very expressive and he does a lot of paint-selfies. His artworks are displayed at his former home, which has turned into a museum. The quirky designed house is an artwork on its own. Far from the traditional shape, the house clearly belonged to an artist. Within the museum are his arts and his daughter’s art, which also happen to paint. On one corner is a painting center where people and children can learn how to paint. The dried pool is decorated with a whale mosaic which strongly reminds me of Gaudi’s work. In the center, is a souvenir shop and parts of his house. International visitor’s entrance fee is IDR 50,000, which includes soft drink and souvenir.
This is a little museum you should not miss out on when visiting Yogyakarta. Easily accessible on the airport road to city center, it is actually the house where the painter Affandi lived himself. He built it to fit his ideas about art and space. Now it is a museum with about 250 of Affandi's painting, and also Affandi's grave.
Avandi is one of Indonesia's most famous artists. He lives and works in a wonderful and quirky house and studio. This house is located on the river, about 6 kilometers east of Yogyakarta city center. Today his former residence has become the Afandi Museum, which houses a large collection of Afandi's paintings.
The works first come to the exhibition are still very good, indeed quite good, the museum transportation is still very convenient, and overall it is very good.
