Wufeng Scenic Area is named after Jiming Peak, Taohua Peak, Covering Busan Peak, Waterfall Peak and Guhou Peak. The scenic area is quiet and comfortable, and the air is fresh. It has always been a gathering place for scholars and literati. The famous scholars of the Southern Song Dynasty, Chen Liang, Zhu Xi and Lu Donglai once wrote books at Wufeng College. The scenic area includes the buildings of Wufeng Academy, Lizezhen, Xueyizhai, and Zhonglou. It is the birthplace of the Yongkang School in the Southern Song Dynasty and the place where Wang Yangming advocated the Tao in the Ming Dynasty. It was also the office address of the Kuomintang Zhejiang Government during the Anti-Japanese War.
