The Liangnongban Mountain bayberry orchard is located at Ningbo's Yuyao city, China's "land of bayberry". Growth of bayberry trees has a long history here, and the bayberry from Yuyao is acclaimed as the best in the country. According to historical research at the Hemudu relic site in Yuyao, the original bayberry breeds here date back to several thousand years. Bayberry fruits in Yuyao are divided into four main types: dark red, pink, red, and white. Major production sites in Yuyao include seven towns, namely Zhangting, Sanqishi, Dayin, Liangnong, Hemudu, Mazhu, and Moushan.
