Baihua village is an ocean of flowers. There are nearly one thousand species of flowers and plants, with tens of thousands of individual flowers, trees and bonsai trees. There are also pavilions and flower beds, where all kinds of flowers are in bloom. An expanse of litchi orchards can also be seen on the nearby Lantau Peak. It is said that during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, a descendant of Zhu Xi, a Song Dynasty scholar of Confucianism, moved here to plant flowers for a living. Later, the tradition of planting flowers here was handed down from generation to generation.
