Mount Eden Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Auckland - Mount Eden magnificent view
- Site of Auckland's highest volcano, with spectacular city & harbour views & a large crater
After car park near end of the Puhi Huia Rd,road, walk about 500m (7 mins) to Mount Eden Summit.
Experience the first sunshine in Auckland on Mount Eden. It is an extinct volcano and the highest mountain in the city. It is a good choice to see the panoramic view of downtown Auckland. Many New Zealand locals run here every morning.
Located in downtown Auckland, Mount Eden is an extinct volcano that has been quiet for more than 2,000 years. It is 196 meters above sea level. It has a gazebo on the top of the mountain. It has a wide view and overlooks the panoramic view of downtown Auckland and the two major harbors.
It is no exaggeration to say that Mount Eden is a red spot. Whether you are sitting in the observatory, the crater, or even looking for a mud or tree bottom, it is a beautiful movie.
Mount Eden, the highest place in Auckland, you can see the entire city of Auckland and the sea. The car parked under the mountain. I thought it was to climb a mountain. As a result, I went to the top of the mountain without taking any steps. There is a big crater on the top of the mountain. It is covered with long grasses and has a mysterious feeling. Going up to the crater, you can watch the city of Auckland from 360 degrees, all of them are small garden houses~ The wind on the top of the mountain is really strong, I have to pack my tripod, and my hair is messy. From another angle, you can see the sailing pier, and the dark mountains, which is an active volcano, and I do not know which day it will erupt again. The yellow grass is gently moving in the mountain wind, like a yellow thread.

Sky Tower Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Auckland is calling and here I come
#celebratewithtrip
Auckland, based around 2 large harbour , is a major city on the north of New Zealand’s north island. For my trip I did a self walking tour around the downtown with main attraction the iconic sky tower and also the Viaduct harbour , which is full of super yachts and along side with cafe and bars. There are also many seafood restaurants along the waterfront. also at the waterfront it best to take a picture with back drop of the city skyline.
If you are the All Blacks fans there is a fan shop at the harbour area selling all the game related merchandise.
The downtown shopping street is also a must to visit to buy some local products and gifts .
In short Auckland is a nice and relax city with affordable food and drink #tripblazers #fallingforfall

Auckland's yacht perspective of Chinese red
The first photo is a symbol of celebrating the New Year overseas with Chinese red.
The waterfront yacht base at dusk.
Looking across the sea at Auckland's iconic building, the Sky Tower, which displays Chinese red due to the Chinese Spring Festival, making Chinese people proud and grateful for New Zealand's respect for the Chinese community.
New Zealand's largest city, Auckland, is full of festive atmosphere.
The entrance to the iconic Sky Tower complex is very eye-catching with 'Chinese red'.
Tourists to New Zealand are always attracted by the tens of thousands of yachts in Auckland.
In the azure bay, a variety of yachts either dock densely at their berths or sail through the sea with colorful sails, becoming a beautiful landscape.
Aucklanders love to set sail, obsessed with their 'three B's' activities: going to the beach, boating, and having barbecues.
Locals often take every opportunity to carry picnic equipment and polypropylene 'coolers' filled with frozen beer, heading to the nearest beach or harbor in groups, a spectacular sight.
Mom said, just read this before going to New Zealand
I stayed in New Zealand for a week and really didn't want to leave... I saw all kinds of beautiful scenery, pure starry sky, blue glaciers, flowers all over the mountains, dreamy and magical firefly caves, various magnificent landscapes of forests, wilderness, snow mountains and fjords, 9-11 months are the spring and summer of the southern hemisphere in New Zealand, just the opposite of our autumn here, the weather is slightly warm, flowers are blooming, really super recommended!

New Zealand is divided into the North and South Islands. The city scenery of the North Island is relatively more, with Auckland Sky Tower, Hobbiton; the natural scenery of the South Island really shocks people! There are famous Mount Cook, Franz Josef Glacier, Lake Wanaka, Good Shepherd Church Milford Sound. In addition, Queenstown is also here, it is a paradise for extreme sports~ Dunedin Church and Christchurch are also famous destinations, Christchurch is known as the garden city, people say it is "the city most like Britain outside Britain"
Queenstown
Queenstown, a beautiful town surrounded by the Southern Alps, can almost be said to be the business card of New Zealand tourism~ Located on the north shore of New Zealand's Lake Wakatipu, adjacent to the former gold mining area-Arrow Town, there are still remnants of Chinese gold mining in New Zealand-Chinese Village, countless travelers are attracted by its natural scenery, and many extreme sports enthusiasts will also come here specially,

Lake Wanaka on the South Island of New Zealand, famous for a lone tree in the lake, has attracted countless photographers and artists. Tourists can also come here for fishing, picnicking, and walking, enjoying the beautiful scenery and the quiet moment, even if you do nothing, just quietly appreciate, you can be well healed here.
Good Shepherd Church:
It is a church named after a sculpture of a shepherd dog, which is a tribute to the shepherd dogs who helped open up the farmland area in the past, which is very commemorative~ And it is a unique Gothic wooden stone structure building, which can be said to be unique in New Zealand. Looking out from the window of the church altar, you can also see the magnificent scenery of the Southern Alps, many newlyweds will choose to get married here!

Auckland War Memorial Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Christmas in Auckland
#2023travelwish Christmas in Auckland in 2022 is my most unforgettable travel. I’m here right now meeting my little nephew for the first time and I’ll wish to come back every year if I can! And there’s so much to see, smell and eat here. Take a walk around Auckland Domain and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful blooms at Wintergardens.
Get culturally infused at the Auckland Art Gallery, War Memorial and catch a movie at Silo Park.
There’s an abundance of cuisine here that will surely suit everyone's taste bud as well! So no worries for gourmands.
My trip is coming to an end and all I wish for Christmas is to come back to Auckland in 2023 as there’s so much more to explore! Perhaps a trip to the South Island this time.#2023travelwish ##celebratewithtrip #urbanexplorer #summervacation #awesomepic

Auckland War Memorial Museum is located at Auckland Domain near Auckland Central Business District. It takes about 15 minutes drive from Auckland Central Business District and has a nice view of Auckland City Centre.
This museum and ground honours those who died due to war. This place is built on a previous volcano erupted and has lots of greenery for pictures and picnics.
Auckland War Memorial Museum, Auckland
In the Central Park of Auckland (called AUCKLAND DOMAIN on the map), there is a museum called the Auckland War Memorial Museum, which is a combination of a war museum and a natural history and culture museum. Locals call it the Auckland Museum. The museum is a Gothic building and opened to the public in 1929. It was expanded in the 1950s and is a landmark building in Auckland. Part of the exhibition commemorates New Zealand soldiers who sacrificed in World War I and II. The ground in front of the door is carved with New Zealand's unique ancient plant, the silver fern, and the words LEST WE FORGET. Inside the museum, there are also exhibitions of human history, Maori culture, Auckland history, and the 2023 Wildlife Photography Exhibition. Exhibitions such as the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh lion-faced statue, mummies, and mysterious ancient Egyptian exquisite jewelry require tickets. After watching the free Maori history and culture exhibition, I felt that the layout and exhibits were more exquisite than the Wellington Museum, showing the Maori's houses, boats, tools, totems, wood carvings, etc. The introduction of the last Maori warship carved from a huge larch is very precious. The Maori (Māori) are the indigenous people and minorities of New Zealand. There are currently more than 600,000 people, and Maori is one of the official languages of New Zealand. The Maori's nose-touching ceremony and tattoos can be seen everywhere, and you can feel the brilliant culture created by the Maori everywhere in New Zealand. The museum's souvenir shop sells characteristic clothing, books, jewelry, etc. The museum has a cafe.
Buses from CITY CENTER and NEWMARK go to Central Park.
One of the best museum to visit
📌 Location - Parnell, Auckland 1010, New Zealand
This is one of the best museums with many interesting collection. Don’t let its name fool you. Not only it provides interesting facts about New Zealand’s and world history, you can also find T Rex or Maori and Greek exhibit. The exhibits are well presented and provide a wealth of information about Maori culture, the traditions and customs.

Piha Beach Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Black sand Beach in Auckland
This was the first time I had the opportunity to see a beach with black sand and is just a short drive away from Auckland city.
The place is often empty and the water is cold so not many people swim in the sea, there's a big rock to climb and take view of the beach, like in the second picture.

Rocks and Sea
Piha Beach is such a wonderful beach with fine jet black sand that feels great to walk through. It is dominated by Lion Rock an extinct Volcanic plug. The waves come crashing in and it is a good beach for surfing but for swimming I would advise swimming where the lifeguards are as there can be currents. Well worth a visit.

Famous surf beach in Auckland!
Located 45mins away from the downtown of Auckland, Piha beach is a famous beach known for the ideal wave conditions for surfing and also the black sand with panoramic views.
Also shown in the photo, the large stone formation is named the Lion Rock which is Piha’s most iconic landmark. For those who are adventurous, you can also climb up the lion rock for a spectacular view of the beach in every directions.
The beach is perfect for those looking to surf, surf classes are also available. But if not, it serves as a wonderful place to picnic while enjoying the amazing scenery the beach has to offer.
Sunset is extremely beautiful so photographers are recommended to time their visit well to have a chance of bringing back a beautiful memory of this location!
